Review Guidelines
Ranklabel is here to help you shape and improve the world. We do this by providing a robust, open-to-all review platform where you can share and discover experiences and connect with businesses to assist them in improving.
We ask that you respect and follow these guidelines (in conjunction with our Terms of Use) to help us maintain Ranklabel as a collaborative and reliable platform for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for joining us—let’s enhance the world together!
Basics of Review Writing
You can write a review if you've had a recent genuine experience.
You cannot write a review if a company has incentivized you. Incentives include discounts, cash rewards, loyalty points, gifts, coupons, and referral bonuses. These compromise the integrity of reviews. If you receive an incentive, please report it to us here.
Feel free to share your experiences and provide feedback through reviews. We believe that all experiences, regardless of their size, are valuable for others to read about. Whether it's a phone call, an online order, a visit to a local store, or using a company's products or services, your feedback is essential.
Please share your recent experiences rather than stories from the past. This helps other consumers understand how a company operates currently and provides valuable feedback to the company. Learn more about who can write a review and when.
Do not write a fake or biased review.
Don’t fabricate experiences or post reviews on behalf of others. If you have a close affiliation with or work for a specific company, refrain from leaving a review.
It's not okay to receive any form of incentive in exchange for writing, changing, or deleting a review.
Please retain evidence of your experience.
Remember to keep documentation of your interaction with the company (e.g. receipt, order confirmation, chat screenshot) as you might need to provide proof of your experience.
Be Respectful
We expect all users to contribute respectfully to our platform. Please refrain from posting anything harmful, discriminatory, or obscene. Additionally, do not lie, bully, blackmail, make threats, or engage in illegal activities.
What constitutes defamation?
We operate as an intermediary between consumers and businesses. We aim to provide a space for everyone to share their experiences, whether positive or negative. However, we also have a responsibility to remove content that unfairly harms someone's reputation or causes substantial financial loss to a business.
The most effective reviews describe the events and allow readers to form their own opinions.
We abstain from intervening in disputes between reviewers and businesses. Ranklabel serves as a consumer review platform, not a regulatory authority or a court of law.
Promotions are not allowed.
Keep your reviews relevant. Avoid promotional references, marketing material, or links. Do not sell stuff, offer discount codes, form action groups, or meet other like-minded singles in your area.
Remember to keep private information private.
Your reviews are public. Therefore, it's important not to include sensitive or personal information, and it's not okay to include someone else's. This includes names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, and any information that could be used to identify, contact, or impersonate someone. We want to ensure your privacy and safety, as well as that of others, so please be mindful of this.
Check the company you’re reviewing
Before you post a review, double-check the company you’re reviewing to avoid potential headaches later on.
User Accounts
To post a review, you must have a user account. You are only allowed to have one user account, which must belong to a real person. Your username, profile description, and pictures should accurately represent who you are; please don't impersonate others. They must not be harmful, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, or obscene, as your profile is visible to everyone. If you violate these rules or create multiple accounts, we have the right to delete your account(s).
Your user account also needs to be associated with a valid and permanent email address so we can reach out to you if necessary.
You can edit your details at any time to only include the information you want to be publicly displayed.
Review Control
You are in control of your review. This means you can edit, update, or delete it at any time. We encourage you to update an existing review if you wish to include additional information about a specific experience. While it's okay to write multiple reviews for a business if you've had various experiences, please avoid overwhelming a company with numerous reviews, as this is not helpful for anyone involved.
Review Flagging
Please let us know about any reviews that may be problematic, especially if you have evidence. Only flag a review if you genuinely believe there is an issue, and please ensure your actions are fair and consistent.
We will review flagged reviews to determine if they violate our guidelines. If they do, we will take action.
Platform Abuse
If someone reports your review for violating our rules, we may temporarily hide it and request that you make changes. We will work with you to ensure that genuine reviews comply with our guidelines so that they can remain on Ranklabel.
But if you misuse our platform, we may remove your reviews and block or delete your account. If your account is deleted, your reviews will also be deleted.
In addition, our advanced software constantly detects and removes suspicious and fake reviews.
